How does the Turbocharger work?

The key parts of a turbocharger are the compressor/blower, turbine and cartridge. The engine exhaust gas from exhaust manifold drives the turbo turbine, meanwhile the compressor / blower will rotate together with the turbine. The turbocharger’s compressor draws in ambient air and compresses it before it enters into the intake manifold at increased pressure. This results in a greater mass of air entering the cylinders on each intake stroke.
